Vocês devem se lembrar de uma pequena história que a Joan Baez conta no No Direction Home. Quando eles chegaram num hotel na Europa, ela já uma cantora famosa e ele ainda um jovem desconhecido. O tal hotel recusou hospedagem a Dylan, pois ele não tinha feito reserva.

Segundo Joan, uma das coisas mais formidáveis em Bob, é a de criar canções grandiosas a partir de eventos banais, como este. Nesse dia, com uma "fúria criativa", ele compôs When the ship comes in. Fiquei de traduzi-la pra conferir, mas somente ontem o fiz. E é, incrivelmente bacana! Obviamente, que o navio que irá chegar é, nada mais, nada menos, do que ele próprio...

Procurei umas traduções na Rede, mas eram todas péssimas! Então, resolvi eu mesmo traduzir. Tomei umas liberdades, e tentei dar à letra um certo tom de Cântico Profético, que eu imagino foi o tom que ele quis dar a canção. Então lá vai...
